Pastor Jonathan Cann

Jonathan was born and raised in Cape Breton, NS where he spent his childhood at Northside Christian School and his summers at Cape Breton Bible Camp, both as a camper and later as a counsellor. He graduated from Kingswood University in 2006 with his BA in Religion. It was there he and his wife Sarah met, and they were married just after graduation. After a few years teaching English in South Korea, Jonathan returned to school and graduated from McMaster University in 2012 with his Master of Divinity. Jonathan began pastoring his first church in Ontario in 2013. He returned to his native Nova Scotia in 2017 and pastored near Yarmouth for 5 years. In 2022, he answered the call to pastor here at Wittenburg Baptist. He and his wife have three beautiful girls.

 

Jonathan is a people’s pastor who loves to connect with people in preaching, teaching, and one-on-one chats. He always focuses on bringing a practical message and helping people apply God’s Word in living out their daily lives.
